COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
To ensure a safe summer experience for our campers and counselors, we will follow the most updated guidelines from the Philadelphia Department of Health and the CDC as of the start of camp in June, from masking and frequent handwashing, social distancing and cohorting, to increased ventilation and time spent outside.
WHAT TO PACK
Campers should come to camp ready to play, indoors and out. Comfortable clothing is suggested, as is sunscreen, a bathing suit and towel for water play, and a packed lunch. A healthy morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Please no toys or games from home. We’ll provide the fun!

WEEK 1 (6/28 – 7/2): Reach for the Stars – Time to blast off and explore the final frontier. Throughout the week, students will be immersed in the space age, learning about the universe beyond our planet. From crafts and games, to music and play, they will explore all the wonders of our solar system and beyond.
WEEK 2 (7/5 – 7/9): Fun with Fossils – Let’s jump in our REACH time machine and explore prehistoric earth. Discover dinosaurs, ancient flora and fauna, and get your hands dirty. Students will spend time in the garden, play in the dirt, uncover the mysteries of rocks and create their very own fossils.
WEEK 3 (7/12 – 7/16): Building Tomorrow – The engineers of tomorrow start right here in Summer REACH. Whether your student loves Legos, Magnatiles, or blocks, we all love to build. This week, campers will learn what goes into dreaming, planning and constructing bridges, roads, tunnels, homes, skyscrapers and so much more.
WEEK 4 (7/19- 7/23): Diving the Depths – Take a deep dive into the mysterious and exciting world of oceans, lakes and rivers. Campers will pore over marine life, get their hands and feet wet with water play, and learn all about how important water is to the body and the environment.
WEEK 5 (7/26 – 7/30): Celebrating Culture – Bienvenido, ‘ahlaan bik, huānyíng and welcome to our week of celebrating all the cultures that make our community unique. We’re singing songs, dancing around the room, creating art and learning all about our big beautiful world. You’re invited to the party.
WEEK 6 (8/2 – 8/6): Making Magic – Here’s your invitation to our own school of magic. Through experiments, activities and observations, students will learn all of the “magic” behind our wonderful and mysterious world. At the end of the week, your students will all be one step closer to being wizards of science.
WEEK 7 (8/9 – 8/13): Creature Feature – Lions and tigers and bears, what fun! This week is all about animals, insects, and all creatures fuzzy, scaly, creepy and crawly. From the rain forest to the savanna, the desert to the mountains, we’ll learn about amazing fauna from all over the world, and even some right in our backyard.
WEEK 8 (8/16 – 8/20): Lean and Green – The future starts now. This week will include engaging games and activities all focused on teaching how we can create a more sustainable tomorrow. Campers will learn how to do their part to take care of the earth, so that their futures can be green and bright.
