WEEK 1 (6/22 – 6/26): Reach for the Stars – Time to blast off and explore the final frontier. Throughout the week, students will be immersed in the space age, learning about the universe beyond our planet. From crafts and games, to music and play, they will explore all the wonders of our solar system and beyond.
WEEK 2 (6/29 – 7/3): Dig the Earth – The earth rocks! This week is dedicated to learning all about the crazy cool world that lies beneath the surface and the plants that grow above it. Students will spend time in the garden, play in the dirt, uncover the mysteries of rocks, and care for a seedling of their very own.
WEEK 3 (7/6 – 7/10): Building Tomorrow – The engineers of tomorrow start right here in Summer REACH. Whether your student loves Legos, Magnatiles, or blocks, we all love to build. This week, campers will learn what goes into dreaming, planning and constructing bridges, roads, tunnels, homes, skyscrapers and so much more.
WEEK 4 (7/13 – 7/17): Diving the Depths – Take a deep dive into the mysterious and exciting world of oceans, lakes and rivers. Campers will pore over marine life, get their hands and feet wet with water play, and learn all about how important water is to the body and the environment.
WEEK 5 (7/20 – 7/24): Celebrating Culture – Bienvenido, ‘ahlaan bik, huānyíng and welcome to our week of celebrating all the cultures that make our community unique. We’re singing songs, dancing around the room, creating art and learning all about our big beautiful world. You’re invited to the party.
WEEK 6 (7/27 – 7/31): Make it Count – Two plus two equals fun. Well, it actually equals four, and your camper can get a head start on learning their numbers this summer. Whether we’re measuring, counting, or adding, we’re putting a fun twist on early math skills by making numbers a game kids will want to play. You can count on it.
WEEK 7 (8/3 – 8/7): Creature Feature – Lions and tigers and bears, what fun! This week is all about animals, insects, and all creatures fuzzy, scaly, creepy and crawly. From the rain forest to the savanna, the desert to the mountains, we’ll learn about amazing fauna from all over the world, and even some right in our backyard.
WEEK 8 (8/10 – 8/14): Lean and Green – The future starts now. This week will include engaging games and activities all focused on teaching how we can create a more sustainable tomorrow. Campers will learn how to do their part to take care of the earth, so that their futures can be green and bright.
