A bequest can be restricted or unrestricted to a specific program and can be designated as either a specific amount or a percentage of the balance remaining in your estate or trust. You retain control of your assets during your lifetime, and these kinds of charitable gifts are 100% tax-deductible from your taxable estate. Stocks and Securities
Please let us know if you plan to make a gift using stocks or securities so we may alert our Business Office to assist with the transaction. How to transfer a gift of securities to St. Peter’s School:
- Direct Transfer of Certificates (DTC) transaction may be affected by a securities broker or agent on behalf of the donor.
- Securities (stock certificates) are wired from the donor’s account to the St. Peter’s School account at Fidelity Investments.
